I love to cook, and I especially love to bake!  That being said, I must admit, I'm pretty fond of eating too.  So, as you can see, it's a win-win situation...until you notice the exponential spike in the size of my jeans...but I digress.

I've always gotten rave reviews on my "specialties" such as carrot cake, and lasagna.  I've also gotten some sadistic heckling useful criticism on things that didn't work quite right (Lesson #1 - making grilled cheese in a cast iron skillet should be done only as a last resort, and under VERY close supervision).  But, I never thought to document any of my experimentation with food, good or bad, until now.

Lately, I've found myself entering a few recipe contests.  This is exciting! In the past few weeks I've baked myself into a frenzy.   The family is threatening an intervention.  And the neighbors, well, they swear that sometimes, late at night, a shadowy figure can be seen leaving muffins, cakes and pies on doorsteps, before disappearing into the darkness.
